Mission & Objectives

The members of the “Los Angeles Hindu Temple and Cultural Center” sincerely believe in the teachings of the Hindu Philosophy based on Sanatan Dharma.

Los Angeles Hindu Temple and Cultural Center mission is to preserve and promote the Hindu religion, culture and philosophy, and must be used for Hindu Religious purposes based on the best practice of Sanatan Dharma.

The objectives of the Los Angeles Hindu Temple and Cultural Center shall be as follows:

  • To establish & maintain a Hindu Temple, built and serviced in Hindu scripture.
  • To conduct daily worship services in accordance with traditional Hindu rituals and customs.
  • To conduct religious educational classes, study circles, religious discourses, celebration of Hindu festivals, religious and cultural activities and events.
  • To engage in various community services and support humanitarian activities.
  • To enhance the understanding of Hindu religion and philosophy for the present and future generation.

No one shall engage in any conduct on the entire Temple premises that involves provisions and consumption of meat, fish, alcohol and tobacco products in any form, smoking, animal sacrifice, use of profanity, extreme loud music, noises of any kind, drugs and any other conduct considered inappropriate or illegal by local, state and federal laws and Hindu religious scripture. It is important that the sanctity and decorum of the Temple is maintained at all times by everyone.

It is clearly stated that “Los Angeles Hindu Temple” is a non-profit organization which is registered and governed by the rules and regulations of the CALIFORNIA STATE LAW.
